Contraindications: Pregnancy: Treatment is not performed during pregnancy. Blood Disorders: Not suitable for those with deep vein thrombosis (DVT), coagulation disorders, or those taking high-dose anticoagulants (e.g., Coumadin, Heparin). Recent Injections: You must wait 6–12 weeks after receiving a cortisone injection in the target area. Active Infection or Cancer: Treatment cannot be applied overactive tumors, systemic infections, or open wounds. Growth Plates: Shockwave is not used on children with open growth plates in the treatment zone.
